Please be considerate of others and these businesses when you park in the afternoon.

In the Community
Eglinton Eyecare – In memory of Jean’s husband, Ed, and to mark what would have been his 50th birthday month, we’re organising a fundraising Walkathon in Eglinton Village. This will be on Sat 23rd Sept @ 12 noon, starting at Eglinton Eyecare.
Anyone who would like to join us on this 3km walk is very welcome and all funds raised will go to the Cancer Fund for Children. This charity gave Jean’s family invaluable emotional support during Ed’s illness and invited them for therapeutic short breaks in Daisy Lodge, Newcastle, enabling them to connect with and gain support from other families living with a cancer diagnosis.
It has continued to be a great support since Ed’s passing, and we’d like to now give something back. If you’d like to help, but can’t join us at our event, donations are also welcome on our JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/…/eglinton-eyecare-opticians…
Hoping to see some familiar faces on the day
Slaughtmanus GAC – will be hosting a coffee morning on Friday 29th September @ 10:30 a.m. in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, everyone is welcome to attend. Click HERE to see attached brochure
Autism Support Cafés We are inviting parents and carers of children of all ages, who have:
- an autism diagnosis
- are awaiting an assessment
- are displaying early indicators ( suggesting their child may be Neurodiverse),
to attend our next Autism Social Café with local support groups, information stalls and short workshops.
These event are in partnership with statutory services and community and voluntary organisations who can support families on their autism journey.
Our aim is to bring together parents, carers and organisations, to provide support and information on services available. We are hoping that parents and carers will help us shape our plans for future events across the WHSCT, provide feedback, ideas and suggestions. Input from parents and carers will be extremely valuable in the co-design of our future Social Cafés. Tea & Coffee provided. Booking is not required. Any further questions email
