Easter Holidays – The school will close on Thursday 28th March for the Easter Holidays. Classes will be dismissed at 12:00 noon. Children walking home, travelling on Paschal’s Bus and those crossing the ‘Blue Bridge’ will leave school at 11:45 a.m. to minimise congestion outside the school. Please be careful where you park, do not block access to nearby houses.

School will reopen on Monday 8th April for all pupils.

School Disco – The Parents & Friends’ Association will be hosting an ‘Easter Disco’ on Saturday 23rd March from 6:00 -7:30 p.m. Parents can stop and drop children off after the doors open.  Children will be supervised; therefore, parents do not have to stay unless they so wish.  We would recommend that parents of P1/P2 pupils stay on the premises.  All children will receive drinks and treats during the disco.  This event is ticket only; tickets are on sale at the office at a cost of £3.

School Show Auditions – The auditions for Primary 6 & 7 pupils for  the school show will take place on Monday 25th March for Cast A pupils and Tuesday 26th March for Cast B pupils from 2:00 -4:15 p.m.

Walk in for breakfast – Children are encouraged to walk into school on Thursday 28th March. Build up your hunger, then sit down for a lovely breakfast in the hall! This event is kindly sponsored by RAPID.

Non-Uniform Day – Thursday 28th March is non-uniform day, pupils are asked to pay £1 towards the Trócaire collection, in return they will receive 5 tickets for the raffle.

Easter Chicks – Thanks to Mrs Adair for once again making the Easter Chicks for the school and to all those parents who donated wool, cotton balls and ribbon. All 500 chicks have now been sold raising money for school funds. She has already started the batch for next year. If you have any off cuts of wool that you are willing to donate, please leave at the school office.

‘Do This In Memory’ Mass – Please note : There is a change of date for the next ‘Do This In Memory’ Mass. This will take place on April 13th, not the 23rd March as originally planned.

Mr Logue’s Amazing Raffle – Mr Logue’s annual Easter draw in aid of Trócaire will take place on Thursday 28th March. Tickets are available in school 25p each or 5 for £1 from Tuesday onwards. Good luck to everyone!

Gaelic – Boys P6 & P7 will be playing a friendly against Termoncanice on Friday 22nd March leaving the school at 9:30 a.m. Girls P6 & P7 will be playing a Blitz leaving at 11:30 a.m.

Grandparents’ Day – Thanks to all who attended P2 Grandparents’ Day Celebration on Friday 15th March. Thanks to all the parents, staff and pupils who contributed in any way to making it such a successful day.

AR Targets- This is the last week for pupils to hit their AR targets before the Easter Break. Keep reading you can do it!

Primary 6 Transfer Meeting – There will be a meeting in the school on Thursday 11th April at 8:00 p.m. for the parents of primary 6 pupils to discuss the arrangement in place for the Schools’ Entrance Assessment Group (SEAG) Transfer Test.

Primary 1 Folders – Please return your child’s folder of work to the class teacher if you have not done so already. These were given out at the parent/teacher meeting in January. Thank you.

ParentPay – All outstanding bills for ParentPay activities which include meals, morning and evening clubs and activities will be issued this week. Please ensure all clubs are paid for in advance. If there are issues concerning your bill or the payment of it, please contact the school office.

School Photographs – Photograph orders  are being collected by courier on the morning of the 27th March.

Disruption to school day – Please keep all calls to the school office to a minimum. The volume of calls to the office at present is becoming unmanageable for staff and is very disruptive to the class teaching day. Parents are also reminded that children should only be removed from school for appointments that are an absolute necessity.
