Be prepared for wet weather.  Cross-Country, Gaelic & Soccer players bring boots and trainers.

If you have any concerns or your child has medical needs, please contact the school office and bring to the attention of one of the people in charge.

 

School Nurse Letters – The school nurse letters must be returned tomorrow 21st October at the very latest.

 

Tempest Photography – All orders for photographs for Primary 1 pupils must be returned tomorrow.

 

Pupil Absences – If your child will be absent from school for any reason, please ensure that you inform school by contacting the office before 9.15 am.

 

Parent/Teacher Meeting P2-P6 – Parent/Teacher meetings will take place from Monday 24th-Wednesday 26th October.  This year the meetings will take place in school unless you have been told otherwise.  The slots for booking appointments have now closed, times will be sent out tomorrow.  All parents attending the meetings please enter through the main reception entrance, directions to your child’s class will be clearly displayed.

 

Vitamin D study in Ulster University – Mary Slevin and researchers will be available next week at the parent teacher meetings to talk about the exciting vitamin D research ongoing in Ulster University.  Please stop by their stand in the foyer to get more information or sign up for the study.  Appointments will take place in Eglinton or Derry for those who wish to participate in the study.

 

Google Classroom – We are aware of the difficulties that parents are having accessing Google Classroom.  Unfortunately, the only way that it can be resolved is by logging in as the child, you cannot access all the features using your own email account.  It must be a recognised school C2k account.  Letters have been issued with all details required for logging in, if you would like the letter re-issued, please email info@broadbridgeprimaryschool.com or contact the school office.  There are some classes that will be setting a monthly homework on Google Classroom; therefore, it is important that you enrol.

 

Hallowe’en Hobble – Parents and pupils may walk to school wearing a Hallowe’en Hat/Head Piece or Mask.  Meet at Eglinton Play Park or Ashburn Image car park at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday 27th October.  There will be teachers there to help escort the children to school.

 

School Choir – Thanks to the school choir children and their parents for attending the Vigil Mass at Star of the Sea on Saturday 15th October.  The singing was beautiful.  Our thanks also to Miss Wade, Mrs Bradley and the rest of the staff who have all put so much time and effort into making it happen.

 

Parenting NI – Will be offering parents living within the WHSCT a range of opportunities around the theme of mental health and emotional wellbeing.  Please see below for more information.  Parenting NI would be grateful if parents could share the details across social media networks so that they can reach as many parents as possible.  Parents who wish to reserve a space just need to call the Parenting NI Support Line on 0808 8010 722.

Maths Week – Maths Week Ireland challenge is on Google Classroom ‘Have you got eyes?’ is one of the many challenges the children will be participating in this week.

 

Parents & Friends Association – A Parents & Friends Association meeting will take place in the school tonight Thursday 20th October at 8:00 p.m. all new members are welcome to join.

 

Ladies Netball – Broadbridge Ladies Netball tonight Thursday 20th October at Broadbridge Primary School in the Master’s Hall at 7:30 p.m.  All ladies 18+ are welcome to join.  Cost £3.  Please note the earlier start!

A great way for the kids to make friends, learn new skills, self-discipline and confidence, £1 per session.  These sessions will continue every week until Wednesday 7th December.
