COVID in School – If your child displays symptoms of COVID, keep them at home and do a Lateral Flow test.  If your child is tested for COVID, please forward a copy of the result of the PCR/Lateral Flow test to the school office.  If a positive result is returned, please contact the school office for further guidance.  If a child tests positive in any class, an email will be sent out to the parents/ guardians of pupils in that class.

The guidance has changed; you DO NOT keep your child off school (Unless your child has tested positive!), an updated information email will be sent out if there is a positive case in your child’s class.

Primary 7 – The Post-Primary Application Process for Primary 7 pupils is now open.  This will remain open until Wednesday 23rd Feb 2022.  A separate note for Primary 7 pupils has been issued.

Parking at Blue Bridge – We appreciate the effort that a lot of parents go to by parking at the other side of the Blue Bridge.  By doing so the traffic outside the school is greatly reduced.  Please be careful when parking as to not obstruct the entrances/exits to any of the homes or business located there.  Please do not park on the main road as this obstructs the traffic and is dangerous to road users and children entering the cars.

Ladies Netball – Ladies Netball tonight Thursday Broadbridge Primary School in the Master’s Hall at 8:00 p.m.  All ladies 18+ are welcome to join.  Cost £3.

Children’s Mental Health Week – 7th-13th February

Walking, wheeling or cycling to school has a significant positive impact on children’s mental health.  Children who travel actively to school have increased self-esteem and confidence.  To help mark Children’s Mental Health Week next week from the 7th-13th February, check out the active-travel theme that you can carry out with your child on your journey to school.

People of all ages can benefit from mindfulness.  It is a simple exercise of focusing thoughts and feelings you are experiencing in the present moment.  It can help parents and caregivers by promoting happiness and relieving stress.  Children can benefit by forming healthy habits when dealing with big emotions.
