Children doing Extra-Curricular activities outside must have a change of footwear in case the venue changes due to weather conditions. It is really important that children are dressed appropriately.
All activities MUST be pre-booked on the ParentPay App with the exception of Skill School.
COVID in School – If your child displays symptoms of COVID, keep them at home and do a Lateral Flow test. If your child is tested for COVID, please forward a copy of the result of the PCR/Lateral Flow test to the school office. If a positive result is returned, please contact the school office for further guidance. If a child tests positive in any class, an alert letter will be sent out to the parents/guardians of pupils in that class.
The guidance has changed; you DO NOT keep your child off school, additional guidance will be attached to your alert letter.
New Entrants – Primary 1 – September 2022 – The application process for those children due to start school in September 2022 is now open and will close on the 28th January 2022. Children born between 2nd July 2017 and 1st July 2018 (inclusive) must commence primary education in September 2022. Any family who is new to our school and is considering sending their child to Broadbridge Primary School, please contact the school office and we will arrange a time for viewing. If you know of any family that have a child due to start Primary 1 in September 2022, please pass on this information.
Primary 1 Admissions – The school will be open on Wednesday 19th January 6:00-8:00 p.m. for prospective parents to have a walk through with a member of staff. If you know of anyone considering Broadbridge Primary School for their child in September 2022, please contact the school office 7181 0520 and a time will be arranged.
Healthy Break and Healthy Lunchbox – Parents/Pupils are reminded that the Healthy Break in the morning is a fruit break only, no biscuits, bars or other snacks. Lunchboxes should contain healthy foodstuff; no fizzy drinks are allowed!
Primary 1 and 2 Parents – Please ensure that your child’s library books are returned to school every Tuesday. Primary 1 and 2 pupils require a full change of clothes in school for slips, trips and little accidents!
ParentPay – Letters have been sent out today detailing any outstanding amounts for school clubs, meals and activities. Please check your child’s bag for letters.
Google Classroom – Please log into Google Classroom frequently to check on updated content and make sure your notifications are turned on. Primary 6/7 Open Nights are on their Google Classroom as some schools are going virtual this year.
NESSY – We are seeing an improvement in the pupils that have been signed up to the NESSY Programme for those families who are keeping to the two-way partnership between the school and home. If you wish your child to benefit from this programme and to maximise success children must spend time engaging in the activities at home.
Ladies Netball – Ladies Netball tonight Thursday Broadbridge Primary School in the Master’s Hall at 8:00 p.m. All ladies 18+ are welcome to join. Cost £3.
Crossing Patrol – The Transport Office are currently looking for someone to replace William at the school crossing. If you know someone that would like the position, please contact the school office for further details.
Netball Skills Course – Netball Ireland’s Head Coach Teresa Gillespie will continue the Netball Skills Course at Broadbridge Primary School on the following dates Jan 22nd and 29th, Feb 5th, 12th and 26th. The price is £25 for the remaining 5-week course. Places are limited. Primary 5-7 Pupils 1:45-3:00 p.m. Year 8-10 from 12:00-1:30 p.m. To enquire about availability please email teresagillespie@hotmail.com
Flu Vaccine – Vaccines will be given on Thursday 20th to registered children who missed out in November. Please contact the school if your child has since had the vaccine with your GP.
