Children doing Extra-Curricular activities outside must have a change of footwear in case the venue changes due to weather conditions. It is really important that children are dressed appropriately.
All activities MUST be pre-booked on the ParentPay App with the exception of Skill School.
COVID in School – If your child displays symptoms of COVID, keep them at home and do a Lateral Flow test. If your child is tested for COVID, please forward a copy of the result of the PCR/Lateral Flow test to the school office. If a positive result is returned, please contact the school office for further guidance. If a child tests positive in any class, an alert letter will be sent out to the parents/guardians of pupils in that class.
The guidance has changed; you do not keep your child off school, additional guidance will be attached to your alert letter.
New Entrants – Primary 1 – September 2022 – The application process for those children due to start school in September 2022 opens on 10th January 2022 and closes on the 28th January 2022. Children born between 2nd July 2017 and 1st July 2018 (inclusive) must commence primary education in September 2022. Any family who is new to our school and is considering sending their child to Broadbridge Primary School, please contact the school office and we will inform you of arrangements in place for viewing. If you know of any family that have a child due to start Primary 1 in September 2022, please pass on this information.
Primary 1 & 2 Parents – Only Primary 1 & 2 parents are permitted into the school grounds to drop their children off in the morning. Please wear a mask whilst on school grounds. Parents are reminded they must not enter the classrooms; children are to be left at external doors. No additional bags in P2 as they have no room to store them!
Google Classroom – Please log into Google Classroom frequently to check on updated content. Primary 6/7 Open Nights are on their Google Classroom as most schools are doing it virtually this year.
Saint Vincent de Paul – Thank you for all who purchased and sold tickets for the SVDP Draw. The draw was held on Tuesday 21st December. A grand total of £13324 was raised for SVDP.
Ladies Netball – Ladies Netball restarts Thursday 13th January at Broadbridge Primary School in the Master’s Hall at 8:00 p.m. All ladies 18+ are welcome to join. Cost £3.
Crossing Patrol – The Transport Office are currently looking for someone to replace William at the school crossing in the new year. If you know someone that would like the position, please contact the school office for further details.
Primary 5/6 Premier League – Congratulations to Man City on a thrilling end to the P5/6 Premiership just before the Christmas Break! Once again the Premiership went down to the final thrilling game. Well done to all the boys & girls who participated.
Netball Skills Course – Netball Ireland’s Head Coach Teresa Gillespie will be holding a Netball Skills Course at Broadbridge Primary School on the following dates Jan 8th, 22nd & 29th & Feb 5th, 12th & 26th. The price is £30 for the 6-week course. Places are limited. Primary 5-7 Pupils 1:45-3:00 p.m. Year 8-10 from 12:00-1:30 p.m. To enquire about availability please email teresagillespie@hotmail.com
