COVID in School – If your child displays symptoms of COVID, the guidance remains the same, keep them at home and book a PCR test. If your child is tested for COVID, please forward a copy of the result of the PCR test to the school office. If a positive result is returned, please contact the school office for further guidance. If a child tests positive in any class, an alert letter will be sent out to the parents/guardians of pupils in that class. The guidance has changed, you do not keep your child off school. Please read the latest guidance below.
Young people (aged five to 17)
Young people (aged five to 17) who are not fully vaccinated and are identified as a close contact should self-isolate and book a PCR test as soon as possible.
If the PCR test is negative, they can end their self-isolation and should arrange to take another PCR test eight days after the last known contact.
If the young person who is a close contact develops symptoms at any time they should immediately self-isolate and book a PCR test, even if the earlier PCR tests were negative.
If any of the PCR tests are positive, this means they have the infection and they should self-isolate for 10 days, in line with advice for confirmed cases.
Shoebox Appeal – Thanks to all who donated towards our annual Shoebox appeal. We collected a grand total of 254 shoeboxes!!!!! They have been shipped off to those young boys and girls in need in time for Christmas. This collection and your generosity is absolutely amazing.
