COVID in School – If your child displays symptoms of COVID, the guidance remains the same, keep them at home and book a PCR test.
Reporting Sickness – If your child is absent from school due to any illness please contact the school office before the start of the school day. The school office is open from 8:45 a.m. onwards. If you wish to contact us before this time please send an email to info@broadbridgeprimaryschool.com stating your child’s name, class teacher and reason for absence. If the absence is COVID related it must be stated in the email for attendance purposes. If a child is absent for PCR testing, we would ask that an email of the test result is forwarded to the school at your earliest convenience. Thank you.
Attendance at School – Parents will be contacted at the end of October if their child’s attendance falls below 85%. We are aware that there are many factors contributing to being absent from school at present, therefore it is very important that the school is informed if a child is absent and the reasoning behind it so that it may be coded correctly.
Maths Week – Begins 16th October – Look out for the competitions on Google Classroom. Check out the website mathsweek.ie for further information.
Flu Forms – All Flu Vaccination consent forms must be returned to the school tomorrow at the latest. If the consent form is not completed a vaccination cannot be administered.
Tempest Photography – Ordering for Tempest Photography closes Monday 18th October, orders after this date incur a £5.00 delivery.
Primary 1 Literacy – There will be a Literacy Evening – “Helping you to teach your child to read and write with a brief guide to Linguistic Phonics” for P1 parents on Monday 25th October at 8:00 p.m. in the Master’s Hall. We invite all parents of Primary 1 children to attend as well as any grandparents or carers who are involved in helping the children with their homework. This is a very worthwhile evening and we would appreciate as many parents as possible to make the effort to come.
Parent/Teacher Meeting P2-P7 – Booking slots for your child’s Parent/Teacher meeting will appear on Google Classroom. If you do not book a time to talk to the teacher, a slot will be allocated by the teacher. Parent/Teacher meetings will take place from Monday 25th-Wednesday 27th October. This year the meeting will take place by phone. A face to face meeting will only be available to parents that are required to sign educational documents.
