  • COVID-19 Update Parents are reminded that the school must be contacted if there is a positive case in your household. Please ring 71810520 or email info@broadbridgeprimaryschool.com stating your child/ren’s class and a brief outline of the case.
  • Adults are reminded that they must maintain a social distance at the gates of the school. We would encourage the use of masks at these points due to the large gatherings at any one time!

Christmas Jumper Day – Wear Something Christmassy! – Friday is non-uniform day; pupils are encouraged to wear a Christmas Jumper to school.

Drop off your letter to Santa! – Santa Letter Drop is nearly here! “Santa Letter Drop” on Friday 11th December from 5:00-8:00 p.m.  Children are invited to come along and drop their Christmas Letter into Santa’s Post-box.  On arrival by car or by foot the stewards will record your arrival and direct you to Santa when it is your turn.  Please keep a safe distance from Santa, the elves and other people attending the event.  Thank You.

School Holidays – The school will close on Tuesday 22nd December for all pupils at 12:10 p.m.

Children Going Home on Tuesday 22nd December for Christmas Break – Parents are asked to ensure that the children know how they are travelling home on Tuesday particularly if there is a change to the normal routine.  Walkers, first bus children and those going across the ‘Blue Bridge’ will leave at 12 noon.  Children getting picked up by car will leave at 12:10 p.m.  Please drive slowly and with care as you approach the school as there will be a lot of excited children about.

Primary 1 Nativity – The Primary 1 Nativity has been recorded and will be released very shortly.  A preview of the Nativity Play will be on Facebook and Google Classroom that will direct you to the full play.  Thanks to all the boys and girls in Primary 1 for the effort you all put into the play.  A special word of thanks to Mrs Quinn, Miss Wade and all the classroom assistants Carolann, Celina, Sharon, Amy-Lee and Lauren for overcoming all the challenges and making this happen.  It really is a performance not to be missed.

Watches at School! – Parents are reminded that the only watches that children are permitted to wear to school are those that tell the time.  Watches that can receive telephone calls/messages and can take photographs are not permitted in school.  Our mobile phone and E-safety policy has been updated on this matter.  We are aware that these watches have a school mode setting, however we have not the time to check that the watch is set on this mode on a daily basis.  If these watches are sent to school, they must be kept in your child’s school bag.

Santa Stroll – The Santa Stroll continues until the 18th December.  Children have until this date to do 15 walks.  This will entitle them to enter the draw for prizes.  Keep at it children!

Religious Ceremonies – The Confirmation date for Broadbridge School has been provisionally booked for Thursday 11th February at 6:00 p.m.  First Communion has been provisionally set for Saturday 24th April at 10:00 a.m.

Saint Vincent de Paul – All tickets sold and unsold need to be returned tomorrow in preparation for the draw on the 18th December.
